Sewing Suite - By Koala

Recently we went through some home remodeling projects. My previous sewing area has now been converted into a beautiful playroom for our girls in our planning ahead for little sister. The family room has now been converted into a media center and sewing area. Knowing my sewing interest, my husband gave me a wonderful birthday/Christmas present.

This is the desk fully-extended. It unfolds from a credenza into a U-shaped sewing center. The back extends behind my Quilting/Embroidery machine or folds down flat against the back when less work area is needed. The side tables detach from the table or can be set in two different positions close to the seamstress or further away (as shown above). My Sergering machine fits nicely on the right side table. My main sewing machine has an airlift system which allows me to raise and lower the machine with very little effort.

The cutting table shown to the right is ergonomically designed at 36 inches high. It also folds into a credenza and locks to keep little fingers away from dangerous pins, needles, rotary cutters, and scissors. It has eight drawers and ample storage for my very large collection of fabrics.

The cutting surface is very large and folds in half when stored as a credenza. We also purchased a cutting mat that fits the top surface perfectly with nice grid lines and 45 degree angles.

The furniture was manufactured by Koala Manufacturing in Australia.
