A Purse for Mommy

I rarely sew anything for myself as I've always got some project going for my daughter, home decorating, gifts, give-aways (donations), etc. But after completing a handbag for my mother-in-law, I just had to make my own. This handbag is also Asian inspired.

This purse has 2 exterior pockets, and 6 divided pockets on the interior. I added a contrasting fabric to the top edge of the pocket to add an additional visual effect, but I'm sure it will also add an extra reinforcement to make the pocket sturdier as well.

The nice thing about this purse is the large opening allowing one to see everything, but the kitchen sink that you feel is necessary to carry around with you. I also made a tote bag out of the same fabric, so now I have two matching bags when I have lots of things to tote around.
