Asian Inspired Purse

Here is my most recent Asian-inspired purse. The main fabric was a designer fabric which cost nearly $6.00 for a quarter yard. I generally don't spend that much on fabric, but it was beautiful.

The front pocket is made of light tan suede. I also used the suede in the inner-lining of the inside pockets for a nice soft feel. As you can see from the photographs below, the base of the purse is reversible. The lighter base makes it easier to find objects in the bottom of the purse. Other embellishments include an Ancient Chinese coin sewn onto the front pocket with a red ribbon, and a smaller red ribbon tied onto the zipper pull.
